This "Winter Spotlight on Turbo Power" focuses on the all-new and redesigned 2018 Honda Accord, a seriously fun and well-equipped midsize sedan that's as great for families as it is for first-time drivers.

It's a great alternative to the Honda Civic for El Cerrito drivers who need a larger or more powerful sedan for their daily driving needs.

Like its smaller sibling, the 2018 Honda Accord offers a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine--this engine is standard on all new 2018 Honda Accord trim levels, and it delivers 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque.

With the recent redesign for the 2018 model-year, the new 2018 Honda Accord also offers a larger and more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, good for 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.

This 2.0L turbo replaces the V6 engine that we found in the previous generation, and it's slightly less powerful than the V6. However, the quicker acceleration and sporty responsiveness of the turbocharged Honda Accord engine provides a more enjoyable ride quality and is better for overall performance.
