Winter Spotlight on Turbo Power: 2018 Honda CR-V

This "Winter Spotlight on Turbo Power" focuses on the capable and comfortable new 2018 Honda CR-V, which is a popular family vehicle in El Cerrito, and which is currently the only Honda SUV to offer a turbo engine.

That makes it a great option for California drivers who want a sporty driving feel--but need more cargo and passenger space than a coupe or a hatchback.

The 2018 Honda CR-V LX, the base model, is the only trim level that doesn't offer the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine as standard equipment.

Choose the 2018 Honda CR-V EX, EX-L, or Touring, and you'll enjoy 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque from this performance-oriented and responsive engine. All engines in the lineup pair to Honda's smooth CVT to easier and more efficient shifting at any speed.

The Honda CR-V doesn't currently offer the larger 2.0-liter turbo engine that can be found in models like the 2018 Honda Civic Type R or the 2018 Honda Accord, but we'd love to see it added to a future line of Honda SUVs.
